This guide will help you integrate your email provider to your Postal app, allowing for sending on your behalf and enable notifications for item updates. Postal recommends all Users enable this feature for increased deliverability to the recipient's main inbox, rather than promotions or junk.
Applies to: Admins, Team Admins, Managers, Users
What You Will Learn
- How to connect your email
- How to Setup your Calendar Booking attached to your email
Why Integrate Your Email Address?
Syncing your email to your Postal Profile is key to making sure Sends can happen on your behalf, but also so that you can receive notifications in real-time. When gifts are sent from a User’s email, it helps create brand awareness as they are associated with your email domain.
Without the integration set up gifts will be sent from delivery@postalio-delivery.com
How to Integrate Your Email
- Start at your Profile by clicking your name in the top-right corner of Postal
- From this page find Email Integration (you should see both Google and Microsoft disabled)
- Click the integration you would prefer to set up, based on what your org uses
- Log in using the appropriate credentials
Note: Postal heavily recommends only enabling one integration at a time for a User
You may need to ask your Postal Admin for approval to turn the authentication on. Your Admins can work with your IT department on this if your security prevents this setup. Typically, this is something controlled by an SSO system. If this step is needed, you will see an alert that your Admin has received a notification to approve your integration as soon as possible to prevent any delays. Once an Admin approves, the integration will be turned on.
Calendar Meeting Settings
Now that you have your email setup, you are also able to use the Calendar booking feature within the Postal Application. Start by heading to Meetings Settings in your Profile Settings. Click on your name in the top-right and find Meeting Settings from the left list.
