Want to send an item directly to your recipient without a Personalized Email or MagicLink? The Direct Send option can do this.
Before You Get Started
- Make sure that Direct Send is Enabled
- Go to your Profile settings head to Email Settings Personalized emails
- Under Do you want recipients to confirm by email before accepting a gift?, you will need to turn that setting to Default On.. If the setting is on Always it will not show the Direct Send method.
- The address of the recipient must be verified in Postal. Without this, a Direct Send is not possible.
How to Direct Send
First, start by selecting the item you want to send, and then on the Choose Method screen select the Direct Send option.
Select your contacts and then select Configure this item.
You'll be given the following options:
- Recipient Notifications
- Send Shipped Email - an email sent to the recipient informing them their item has been shipped
- Send Delivered Email - an email sent to the recipient informing them their item has been delivered
- Sending Options
- Spend As - the name of the User you'd like to send on behalf of (Names will be populated from those that have the User role)*Admin Option only
- Spend From - the budget you would like to pull from when sending.
Review
Next, select Review. Review your order and select Confirm and Send when you are ready.You'll get a confirmation that your order has been sent and can continue to track your order status from the Orders tab.
