Scaling Gifting & Personalized Outreach

As individual SDRs begin to see higher conversion rates using gifting and personalized outreach in their outbound efforts, a natural next step is finding ways to scale that strategy for the entire team. A great way to do that is to create message templates for various common scenarios SDRs may encounter. This can help drive more engagement and book more meetings without creating a ton of new workload for SDRs.

Prospect-Centered Templates

Here are some examples of scenarios that create an opportunity for connection and relationship building with prospects and can easily be turned into templates:

Hard days
Gift idea: DoorDash gift card, meal, wine

New role
Gift idea: plants, flowers, books

Milestones (birthday, new baby, etc.)
Gift idea: champagne, birthday sweets, baby gifts

Referral Thank You
Gift idea: chocolates, coffee, tea, candle

Preventing No-Shows
Gift idea: coffee gift card

Re-Engaging Ghosters
Gift Idea: handwritten note, postcard w/QR code to book a meeting with you

Example Message Templates

Preventing No-Shows

Here’s an example of a message template your SDR team can use to prevent no-shows on introductory calls and demos.

We have found that gift cards work best in this scenario because they provide instant gratification. If you send a coffee gift card like this, it can be a nice touch to use a subject line like: “coffee is on me today!” to grab your prospects attention so they open the email.

The message reads:

Hey {name},

Looking forward to our chat today at {time}, hope you are able to make it. I’m excited to hear about how {company name} is thinking about using {solution} to {state how it will help their pain points}.

New Role

Here’s another message template, this time for prospects who have recently changed jobs. This one pairs well with coffee, wine, champaign, liquor, or a cocktail gift box.

The message reads:

Cheers to your new role as [[CONFIRM NEW TITLE]] at {{company}}, {{First_name}}!

You’re likely drinking from the {{company}} firehouse, thought you might like to wash it down with some coffee/beer/wine/cocktail.

{{insert persona}} leaders I’ve been speaking with are {insert pain point}}.

Is this on your mind too?

Enjoy a drink on me, and let me know if you’d like to hear how we’re helping teams solve this issue.

If your team uses Outreach and you have it integrated with Postal, you can further streamline your workflow by automating the use of these templates with Triggers.
