This article defines the different status messages that appear in Postal.
Sending A Gift
These statuses appear when sending a gift. They also appear when a contact has registered for a Postal Event and indicate the status of the physical component of the Event.
- Postal Delivery Rejected: recipient has rejected this gift and does not wish to receive it
- Postal Delivery Expired: the recipient did not act on the email in time, and the gift email has expired

- Postal Delivery Donated: the item’s value has been donated to charity
- Processing: The order has been redeemed but likely is awaiting internal or vendor action. This status should be temporary. If the status persists, please contact Support.
- Processing Error: This order has failed. Please see the reason code and adjust accordingly
- Placed: The fulfillment request has been sent to the vendor, and we are awaiting confirmation
- Confirmed: The vendor has received and confirmed the order for fulfillment
- Shipped: The order has shipped
- Pending Delivery: The order has shipped, pulling delivery data
- Delivered: The item has been delivered (either physically or digitally)
- Delivery Error: The item was shipped, but there was an error in delivery (delivery rejected, lost, etc)
- Canceled: This order was canceled by either the Postal User or a Postal employee upon request
- Needs Approval: This order needs to be approved by the sender or an Admin. See our article MagicLink Approval Settings
Postal Events
Postal Events have extra specific statuses relating to the actual Event (not the send):
- Pending Confirmation: Your Event is pending confirmation from the vendor
- Needs Data: Your Event has been confirmed and now requires updated information from you - meeting link, team access, the title of the Event, etc.
- Accepting Invites: Your Event information has been updated, and invites are now able to be sent.
- Waitlist: this order is on a waitlist for future action to be taken by the organizer
- Registration Closed: Event registration is closed. This generally occurs 10-14 days out from the date of the event to ensure that any physical gifts being sent will arrive in time.
- Complete: Your Event is complete
- Cancel Requested: You have requested your Event to be canceled
- Canceled: Your Event has been canceled
