Syncing Postal Account Data to Salesforce

This article explains the fields that will need to be created in Salesforce in order to track ABM campaigns.

Before You Get Started

You will need to have Admin access in BOTH Postal and Salesforce to create fields as well as access to Postal ABM.

Here are some resources to get you started.

Fields to add to the Account Object in Salesforce

The following fields should be added to the Account Object in Salesforce.  You must match the naming convention as displayed below.

*once created, the API Name for these fields will populate automatically. You will see the Field Name with __c added to the string in that field
 

Note: Postal ABM engagement to Leads in Salesforce will not be shown in Postal Engagement metrics. Postal ABM is tied to Account Activity for the Contacts associated with that Account. Only engagement from Contacts with relationships to the Account Object in Salesforce will be displayed. 


Good To Know!

  • All fields refresh every 15 minutes
  • The field Postal Spend Last 30d should be a Currency Field Type
    • Length = 16 
    • Decimal Places = 2
 


Sync Account Data to Salesforce

After setting up desired fields above on the Account object in Salesforce you’ll need to enable the sync within Postal.

Start in Postal Engage then select Profile > Integrations > Salesforce > ABM > then enable the Sync Postal Data to Salesforce option.

 

Postal Engage will automatically detect which fields you have added to the Account Object. They will be displayed in a message beside the toggle if they are detected. 

Congratulations! You are done.
