What is warehousing?

Warehousing is an add-on that enables your company to store swag and other branded items to send using the Postal platform. With this add-on, you have access to your own swag closet in the cloud. You can physically store your items in our network of nation-wide warehouses and send them like any other item through Postal. No need to haul and house swag items at your office, we've got you covered.

What's included?

Included in your warehousing plan:

  • Storage for all of your items
  • Picking and packing up to 4 items in a bundle
  • Basic packaging for items (blank box, poly mailer)
  • Not included: Shipping cost

  1. Warehouse Receiving Orders

Once the inventory and box breakdown is complete, please submit a link to the spreadsheet in the warehousing form or email it directly to warehousing@postal.io. A member of the warehousing team will email you the warehouse receiving labels for your shipment. The warehouse receiving labels are required to be adhered to the outside of all packages prior to shipping. These labels ensure items are received on the correct account and prevent items from being lost or delayed. If WRO labels are not attached to each package, the items may be delayed by 2-4 weeks.

  1. Ship Items to Warehouse

Customers are responsible for shipping items to the warehouse. You may use any carrier you prefer (UPS, FedEx, USPS). After items have been shipped, please add the tracking numbers for each box/pallet to the shipping tab.

  1. Arrive at Warehouse

The warehouse will begin unpacking items within 24hrs of arrival. Once packages have been marked as arrived, they can take 3-5 business days to be fully stowed.

  1. Available to Send

Once available, the products will be marked active in the Postal Marketplace and ready to send.

Warehouse Receiving Orders

Warehouse receiving labels are required for each box sent to the warehouse. These labels provide the warehouse with the contents of each box so they can correctly unpack and stow the items. Check out our Warehouse Receiving Orders article for more details about WROs.

Any boxes or pallets that arrive at the warehouse without labels may be delayed 2-4 weeks.

  1. Adhere the pages with QR codes to the outside of each box
  • Warehouse receiving number
  • Warehouse address
  • Box number
  • QR code for scanning

Warehouse FAQs

1. Are the warehouse receiving labels the same as shipping labels?

No, you or the vendor you are working with are responsible for the cost of shipping labels to send items to the Postal warehouse. The warehouse receiving labels are used to identify and sort packages once they arrive at the warehouse.

2. What is the warehouse address?

We work with a network of warehouses across the country. The address for the warehouse where your items will be stored can be found on the top left of the warehouse receiving labels

3. How does the Postal team confirm items have been received?

The logistics specialist working with the customer will notify them when their items have been received and are available to send on the marketplace.
